This long-weekend silent Open the Heart and Still the Mind retreat will explore the awakening of the heart with compassion. Drawing on the wisdom of Buddhist psychology, on the teachings of Kuan Yin, Bodhisattva of Compassion and meditations which cultivate calm and compassionate awareness, we will integrate body, heart and mind through embodied spiritual practices. We will discover ways to integrate our experiences so that we can embrace the joys and sorrows of life with greater loving-kindness, courage and balance.
Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners, the retreat will be held in a nurturing and contained atmosphere of contemplative (Noble) silence, and will include meditation, qigong, optional yoga and aromatherapy massages, as well as short individual sessions with Sue.
There will also be time for restorative rest and time in Nature and delicious vegetarian and vegan food will be savoured in silence.
