This week-end retreat integrates meditation and psychotherapy and is inspired by the wisdom of Buddhist psychology. It is suitable for beginners as well as experienced meditators and is held in a contained and nurturing atmosphere of contemplative silence.
As we learn to cultivate an awareness that is embodied and grounded in the present moment, we begin to feel safe in the silence of the retreat experience. With the development of calm and compassionate wisdom, we discover a spaciousness of the heart and mind which allows us to access joy and lightness of being.
The integration of body, heart and mind will be enhanced by daily sessions of the ancient
movement meditation Qigong (Chi Kung), optional yoga and aromatherapy massages and silent walking meditation through the beautiful gardens of Temenos. There will also be time for restorative rest, as well as mindful walks, runs or bicycle rides in the surrounding area. We will savour our delicious vegetarian/vegan food in silence and Sue will offer short, individual sessions during the weekend.
There is free accommodation on Sunday night, if anyone would like to stay over after the retreat finishes on Sunday.
