This 3-night silent retreat (Thursday night – Sunday), held in a contained and nurturing atmosphere of contemplative (Noble) silence, integrates meditation and the wisdom of Buddhist psychology.
Through the cultivation of calm and compassionate awareness, we will explore ways to heal the fragmented body, heart, and mind. We will develop a meditation practice that is embodied and integrated so that we can ground ourselves in the present moment with a deeper understanding of the source of our suffering. This allows us to free ourselves from our habitual, addictive tendencies which are driven by fear, judgement, and self-criticism. As we deepen our capacity to embrace our vulnerability with kindness and acceptance, we will discover an inner transformation which leads to a life of greater balance, joy and compassionate wisdom.
To enhance the integration of body, heart, and mind, I will offer daily sessions of qigong movement meditation. There will also be time for silent walks in nature and restorative rest, as well as short, individual sessions with me. Beginners, as well as experienced meditators, are very welcome.
