Fully booked, waiting list only - or book Mont Fleur Daylong Retreat on 12 March
This daylong retreat, held in a nurturing atmosphere of contemplative silence at the beautiful Mont Fleur venue near Stellenbosch, is an opportunity to discover kindness, compassion and joy within the restorative nature of contained silence. Through the practice of meditation and the wisdom teachings of Buddhist psychology, we will explore ways to calm and ground ourselves in the present moment with gentle, brave and compassionate awareness.
The day is held in Noble Silence and includes Dharma teachings, guided meditations in all postures, as well as qigong movement meditation, which will enhance our awareness of the body through connecting with the elements. A delicious vegetarian/vegan lunch, as well as teas, will be savoured in silence, as part of our integrated practice.
The day will conclude with an optional and highly recommended Mindful Movement meditation at 4:30pm -5:30pm with the talented Dominique Beaumont, whose much appreciated work on Sue's retreats adds a deepening of our connection to embodied presence. The Movement Meditation fee is offered on a sliding scale of R150 - R200.
Numbers for the daylong retreat will be limited to allow for adequate physical distancing, so please book your place if you are interested to attend, and indicate if you will stay for the Mindful Movement Meditation.
This retreat has been extended to offer an overnight option which ends after breakfast on Sunday 7th and includes additional meditations and teachings on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
