This Morning of Compassion Retreat is offered on a donation (dana) basis and is open to all. 15% of payments received will be offered to the National Association of Child Care Workers NACCW for food parcels for vulnerable children.
When we meet our painful experiences with loving-kindness, we discover the heart of Compassion. During this morning retreat we will explore ways to move from bracing against fear and pain to embracing our suffering and the suffering of others with compassion. As we learn how to create boundaries which are healthy and containing, we discover ways to prevent depletion and compassion fatigue. Deepening our understanding of self-care allows us to free ourselves from the curse of perfectionism and from patterns of over-responsibility and self-abandonment.
The morning is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners and will consist of dharma teachings, guided metta meditations, qigong movement meditation, time for a short eating and drinking meditation away from the screen and reflections during a listening and talking meditation. All are welcome on a donation basis and 15% of payments received will be offered to the National Association of Child Care Workers NACCW for food parcels for vulnerable children.
