This afternoon retreat is the introduction to the 6 week Saturday afternoon course. Full course dates are here. You may attend this introductory afternoon retreat without committing to the whole course. This course will draw on the teachings in The Adult Open the Heart and Still the Mind Meditation Deck, which is available to course participants at the pre-order special rate of R400.

Through mindfulness and compassion practices, we will find solace through practicing in silence with Sangha.
As we listen to the body, heart and mind with kindness and compassion, we will explore ways to experience emotional containment, so that we can transform our fragmented, anxious states of mind into a more integrated and grounded experience of ourselves, leading to wholeness and healing. Inspired by the wisdom of Buddhist psychology, the afternoon will include teachings, guided sitting meditations, qigong movement meditation, a short eating meditation and time for reflection in a listening and talking meditation.
