This daylong retreat, held in a nurturing atmosphere of contemplative silence at the beautiful Mont Fleur venue near Stellenbosch, is an opportunity to discover the joy and containment of silence. Through the practice of meditation and the wisdom teachings of Buddhist psychology, we will explore ways to establish healthy boundaries, grounding ourselves in the present moment with gentle and compassionate awareness. This allows us to create space for joy and wonder within the silence.
The day is held in Noble Silence and includes Dharma teachings, guided meditations in all postures, as well as qigong movement meditation, which will enhance our awareness of the body through connecting with the elements. A delicious vegetarian/vegan lunch, as well as teas, will be savoured in silence, as part of our integrated practice.
There is an option to extend this to an overnight retreat, ending after breakfast on Sunday 25th October. Additional meditations will be offered as well as an optional yoga/mindful movement class at 4:30pm, open to the daylong and overnight retreatants.
