This late Spring silent weekend retreat is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners and is held in a nurturing and containing atmosphere of contemplative silence. We will focus on the cultivation of life-affirming qualities of mind and heart which support the development of courage and self-confidence, necessary for growth and transformation. We will draw on the Spring theme of new beginnings to inspire and encourage fearlessness in the face of change and uncertainty. This will enable us to move beyond our habitual, fear-based patterns so that we can create the conditions for new possibilities and discoveries.
In addition to sitting, standing and reclining meditations, our embodied awareness will be enhanced by daily sessions of the ancient movement meditation qigong (Chi Kung), optional yoga and aromatherapy massages, as well as silent walking meditations through the beautiful Spring gardens of Temenos. There will also be time for restorative rest and short, individual sessions with Sue during the retreat. Delicious vegetarian/vegan food will be savoured in silence as part of our integrated practice. This retreat either ends with lunch on Sunday 1st November and includes free accommodation on Sunday night, or has now been extended to include an additional day ending after breakfast on Monday 2nd for an additional R750.
Embrace the season of Spring in the magical gardens of Temenos with awareness and silent celebration!
A pre-retreat individual session is required for newcomers or if you have not attended one of Sue’s residential retreats before. The fee for this is R950 for 50 mins, fully covered by medical aid and can be reduced if necessary.
CPD accreditation for psychologists and other HPCSA registered professionals: to be confirmed.
