This Afternoon Retreat is offered as a support to our 15 Day May Metta Recommitment and will take place online via Zoom and is an opportunity to find solace through practising with like-minded sangha. Through mindfulness and compassion practices, we will draw on the containment of silence, cultivating a practice of compassionate self-care. As we listen deeply to the body, heart and mind with kindness and courage, we strengthen our connection to our own intuitive wisdom, learning to "give our all without giving ourselves away" (Mark Nepo). This healing practice helps us to end the cycles of self-abandonment and to transform the vicious inner critic, which is driven by fear and perfectionism.
Inspired by the wisdom of Buddhist psychology, the retreat will include teachings, guided sitting meditations, qigong movement meditation and time for reflection in a listening and talking meditation.
