Just yesterday, I could see right through you.
Just yesterday, between your twisting and stretching, the path below
was clear.
Yet today, your tiny buds have sprouted and your flowers bloomed,
covering the spaces between with new life and the promise of a new
dawn.
How did I miss your tiny buds just yesterday?
It must be true, that beauty, no matter how finite, requires more than
just a passing glance.
You remind me Dear Tree of Blossom and Life, that in the darkness
you grow and in the light you flower.
So tonight I rest not fearing the dark but embracing, that without the
darkness there can be no growth and without the light there can be no
beauty.
